Fees
For all standard e-passport applicants
The Following instruments are put in place to guide our issuance of e-passports to Nigerians.
All e-passport applicants must henceforth hand in the following documents in person:
- Formally written and signed application for first-time issuance, reissue of expired/expiring/lost standard e-passport with or without change of data as applicable;
- Duly completed and signed online application form
- Proof of online payment
- Two passport photographs
- The Guarantor form: Henceforth, the guarantor form which must accompany every application must be duly completed. All the required details of the guarantor such as the telephone number, email address, passport photograph, residential address, passport data page must be provided as well.
- All other documents required for the various cases, which include the following:

Important notice to all visa/ passport applicants
Please note that any charges or fees for visa or passport transferred in error are not refundable. For this reason, the embassy asks you to be sure before you make transfer paments for services and to seek clarification if not sure.
The embassy of Nigeria will not be responsible for a refund of such payments because it is not within its capacity to do so.
E-passport first-time applicants
- Certificate of Origin / Certificate of Identification from the applicant’s LGA in Nigeria
- Copy of any other passport in the applicant’s possession
- Copy of residents’ registration document (Anmeldebestätigung)
- Letter of consent written and signed by both biological parents
- Copies of both parents’ passport data pages
- Copy of lost passport data page showing passport number and date of issue
- Original copy of police report on the loss of passport
- Copy of residence permit or any other valid proof of residence in Germany
- Copy of residents’ registration document (Anmeldebestätigung)
- Original Copy of expiring / expired e-passport
- Copy of residence permit
- Copy of residents’ registration (Anmeldebestätigung)
Change of data due to marriage, divorce or death of spouse
- Marriage Certificate
- Statutory evidence of change of name due to marital status
- Newspaper publication done in any national Nigerian newspaper
- Evidence of maiden name
- Proof of spouse identity such as spouse passport data page, etc.
- Current passport booklet and copy of data page of the applicant
- Divorce certificate (for divorcees only)
- Certificate of death of spouse or any other legally acceptable valid document (for widows only)
- Copy of residents’ registration document (Anmeldebestätigung)
